Evolution! Looking back at 2014

The year 2014 was one of evolution, invigoration and inspiration for The BrisWest Centre in Paddington.

The year started with our first ever Paddington Boutique Fair markets in March, June and September,  expanding to include two other new events with the creation  of the Excess Baggage – Second hand market in October and finishing the year with combined community events Christmas Twilight Markets and Paddington Christmas Festival.
The community responded favourably to the BrisWest Centre activities supporting our local community centre as well as our local shops and businesses.

“We couldn’t have experienced the centre’s transformation without the support of local shoppers, or the commitment from local businesses and politicians”, said Events Manager Danila Franz.

“The volunteer committee has worked hard to build activities into the agenda that give back to the community and provide an opportunity for engagement, relationships, social interaction, health and wellbeing and a space for mutuality”, said secretary Trish Ferrier.

The committee wants to sincerely thank everyone who interacted and supported the centre’s activities in 2014. We looked forward to a greater presence and giving back in 2015.
